Kaiber.ai, a leading AI-driven media and technology player, approached us with a significant challenge. Their extensive email list of unverified and unengaged contacts severely damaged their domain and sending reputation, negatively impacting their email deliverability and overall online presence. They needed a solution to restore their domain’s reputation and create a sustainable email marketing strategy to drive long-term engagement.
Objectives
The primary objective of our partnership with Kaiber.ai was to repair their domain reputation and develop a robust email strategy to drive audience engagement. We aimed to clean their email list, segment it effectively, and establish long-term email marketing strategies.
Campaign Strategy
We implemented a comprehensive strategy to tackle these issues head-on:
- Account Setup & Organization: Confirmed key elements like list structure, engagement tagging, and campaign design for accurate tracking and future reporting.
- List Warm-Up & Re-Engagement Campaign: Launched a 3-5 email re-engagement campaign to clean up the list and re-engage contacts before launching a September promotion. This laid the groundwork for restoring the client’s sending reputation.
- Subscription Management & Lead Magnet: We introduced subscription management options, allowing contacts to choose between receiving product updates or tips and tricks. A lead magnet and welcome series were also developed to nurture new subscribers.
- Long-Term Strategy: A 12-month promotional calendar and 30-day and 90-day re-engagement campaigns were created to keep audiences engaged year-round.
- ActiveCampaign Integration: Integrated ActiveCampaign to track metrics such as free trial sign-ups, customer onboarding, and win-back automations.

- Created a new master list with proper segmentation for more targeted campaigns.

Challenges
The main challenge lay in reorganizing a mismanaged account. Lists were unstructured, segmentation was poor, and much of the work involved cleaning up contacts and re-segmenting the database to prepare it for future marketing efforts.
Results
The re-engagement campaign produced outstanding results. Most notably, the domain reputation was restored, positively influencing SEO and email deliverability. By resegmenting and cleaning up a contact list of over 100k people, we laid the foundation for continued audience engagement and email performance.
